What it does
UpGrow's Instagram Engagement Rate Calculator is a free browser tool for checking how engaged an Instagram audience is. You enter a public Instagram username and it reads the account's recent posts, then shows the engagement rate, the average likes and comments per post, and how those numbers compare with typical accounts of the same follower size. Creators use it to track their own engagement over time and to put a verified number in a media kit. Brands, agencies and other creators use it to check a potential collaboration partner before agreeing to a paid post, and to spot accounts whose engagement looks low for their follower count. It needs no Instagram login, no UpGrow account and no card, and there is no limit on the number of checks. It works in desktop and mobile browsers and can be embedded on another site with a short iframe code.
