Terms of Service
Last updated: August 22, 2026
Overview
VidClean is built and run by Melvin Bucio in Huntsville, Alabama, United States. By using vidclean.net, the tools, the editor, Pro, or the creator-tools directory, you agree to these terms and to Creator tools our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and what we do with it. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
VidClean provides online tools for processing video and audio files: silence removal, transcription and subtitles, noise removal and speech repair, compression, conversion, trimming, merging, stabilisation, clip generation, thumbnails, image tools, and a browser-based video editor that can save projects. Most tools are free and work without an account. Some features, higher limits and longer storage are part of Pro, a paid subscription.
We change the service often. Limits on file size, duration, daily use, and on what is free versus Pro are stated on the pages where they apply and can change without notice. We may add, change or remove tools at any time.
Accounts and sign-in
You do not need an account to use the tools. You need one for Pro, for saved editor projects, for style profiles, and to submit to the creator-tools directory.
An account is an email address. We sign you in by emailing you a link; there is no password. The link works for 15 minutes and can be opened more than once in that window. Anyone who can read your email can sign in as you, so keep your inbox secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Sign out on the Account page when you leave a shared device.
Pro subscription
- Pro is billed in advance, monthly or annually, by Stripe, at the price shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from the Account page, through the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; you keep Pro until then. We do not automatically refund part of a period. If you think you are owed a refund, email us. Nothing here removes a refund or cancellation right that the law where you live gives you.
- Prices vary by country. We show a price based on the country your connection appears to come from. We record the country of the card you pay with and compare it with the price band you bought at; today a mismatch is recorded and reviewed by hand. We reserve the right to move a subscription to the price band that matches the card's country.
- Where the law requires tax to be included in the displayed price it is included; otherwise any tax is added at checkout by Stripe.
- If a payment fails, Stripe retries. If it keeps failing, Pro switches off until a payment succeeds.
- We may change Pro prices. A change applies to you from your next renewal after we have told you by email at least 30 days before.
- Pro projects keep footage while your subscription is active, within the storage cap shown on the pricing page (currently 10 GB). When Pro lapses, footage follows the free-plan rules (deleted 7 days after your last edit) and we email you before that happens.
Your content and the permission you give us
You keep every right you have in the files you upload and in what we make from them. VidClean claims no ownership.
So that we can run the service, you give us permission to store your files, to copy them between our systems, to process them with our own software and with the third-party AI providers named in the Privacy Policy for the feature you chose, to make the results available to you, and, if you saved a project or a profile, to keep them for as long as the Privacy Policy says. This permission ends when your files and results are deleted. We do not use your content to train AI models, we do not show it to other users, and we do not use it for anything other than delivering what you asked for, plus the anonymous aggregate counts described in the Privacy Policy.
For the creator-tools directory a separate permission applies; see the directory section below.
Acceptable use
You may process only content you own or have the right to process. You agree not to:
- upload or process content that is illegal, that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or privacy, or that depicts the sexual abuse of a minor;
- process recordings of other people where you do not have the consent or legal right to do so, including using the face-blur or face-thumbnail features on someone else's likeness without permission;
- use the service to harass, defraud or harm anyone;
- try to get around free-plan limits, daily caps or per-connection limits, by rotating addresses or accounts or otherwise;
- scrape, crawl or bulk-download the site, the API or the directory;
- resell the service, or present it as your own, without our written agreement;
- interfere with the service, probe it for vulnerabilities without asking us first, or upload files designed to break media decoders;
- submit false or misleading information to the directory, or submit on behalf of a tool you are not authorised to represent.
If you see content on VidClean, for example in the directory, that you believe infringes your rights, email hello@vidclean.net with the link, what you own, and how to reach you, and we will act on it.
Files, storage and deletion
VidClean is not a storage service. Outside of saved editor projects and style profiles, files and results are deleted automatically about 90 minutes after a job finishes, and sooner if the job fails. Download links expire after a short time. Keep your own copy of everything.
Free editor projects keep edits until you delete the project and footage for 7 days after your last edit. Pro projects keep footage while Pro is active. Style profiles keep reference videos until you delete them. Full details, including how to have everything deleted, are in the Privacy Policy.
We may delete content earlier if it breaks these terms, if we are required to by law, or if it is left behind by a failure on our side. We are not responsible for the loss of a file you did not keep a copy of.
AI features
Some features use machine-learning models, including models run by other companies, to transcribe, pick clips, suggest cuts, write show notes, generate thumbnails, and learn a style. Their output can be wrong, incomplete or inappropriate. You are responsible for reviewing anything you publish. Generated thumbnails and text are provided as-is; we make no claim about their originality or about your right to use them, which may depend on the provider's terms and on the law where you are.
Creator-tools directory
This section applies when you submit a tool to the directory at /creator-tools/, and to listings that result from a submission.
Submitting
- You must be signed in. You confirm that you are authorised to list the tool, that everything you submit is accurate, and that you will tell us when it stops being accurate.
- Listing is free. There is no paid placement, no priority queue, and no way to pay to move an entry up a page. We do not sell followed links. Listing links carry
rel="ugc"; sponsor links elsewhere on the site carryrel="sponsored". If this ever changes we will say so on the submit page first. - Nothing is required in return: no backlink, no badge, no review. A badge is available if you want one; using it or not changes nothing about your listing.
- Every submission is reviewed by a person. We decide what to list and we may decline any submission for any reason, including that the tool is not real, not relevant to one of the directory's stages, not working, a parked domain, a link-building attempt, or a direct competitor of VidClean (those are covered by our comparison pages instead).
Your copy, and our edits
You write the one-liner and the description that get published. We edit them for accuracy, length and house style, and they must pass the same automated copy checks as every other page on the site. We tell you if we change something that matters. We may decline to publish copy that does not clear that bar, or send it back to you. Once published, we may shorten or correct a listing, add a "verified on" date to facts, and, after 120 days without re-verification, replace quoted prices with a link to your pricing page. You can edit your listing from your Account page; edits are reviewed the same way.
Permission to use the media you upload
If you upload a logo, screenshots or video, you confirm, by ticking the box on the form, that you have the right to licence them to us, and you give VidClean permission to copy, resize, crop, re-encode, store and display them on the listing and on pages that present or summarise the directory, for as long as the listing is live. We host our own copy; we do not hotlink. We strip embedded metadata and publish images in a fixed frame, which may crop them. You can withdraw this permission by asking us to remove the media or the listing; we will remove it from the live site, and copies may remain in our code history.
Removal
You can ask us to remove your listing at any time by email from the address on the account. We may remove or suspend a listing at any time if it stops being accurate, the tool stops working, the links break, we receive a credible rights complaint, or the listing no longer fits the directory. We try to give notice and a reason, but do not promise either.
Data about your submission
What we store about a submission (your email, the IP address you submitted from, the text and the media) and for how long is described in the Privacy Policy. Your email is never published. We record clicks on your outbound link in aggregate and will tell you your count on request.
Declined and withdrawn submissions
Submissions we decline, and submissions you withdraw, are currently kept privately together with their uploaded media. Email us and we will delete one on request.
Sponsorship
If we run a sponsor placement, it is a single sponsor shown on the homepage and on job-completion screens, marked as sponsored, with links carrying rel="sponsored". Sponsors get no access to any user data, no third-party script or pixel is added to the site for them, and a sponsorship never buys a directory listing, a followed link, or editorial coverage. Sponsorship terms are agreed in writing with each sponsor.
No warranty
VidClean is provided as-is and as-available, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise that it will be available at any particular time, that a job will succeed, that output will be accurate, or that the service will be free of errors.
Limitation of liability
VidClean and its operator shall not be liable for any loss of data, loss of files, or damages arising from use of the service. Your use of VidClean is at your own risk. Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live that cannot be limited by agreement.
Termination
You can stop using VidClean at any time; cancel Pro from the Account page and ask us to delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to suspend or end your access, with or without notice, if you break these terms, abuse the service, or if we have to for legal or technical reasons. If we end a Pro subscription for a reason other than your breach, we refund the unused part of the current period.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, United States. If the law where you live gives you rights as a consumer that cannot be taken away by agreement, nothing here takes them away.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top is the date of the current version. For changes that materially affect Pro subscribers, we will email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of VidClean after a change means you accept it.
Language
These terms and the Privacy Policy are written in English. Translations of the site are provided for convenience; if there is a conflict, the English text governs.
