About VidClean

I was editing a video and realized I'd spent more time scrubbing through footage looking for the parts where I wasn't talking than I had actually recording it. It was tedious, repetitive, and every tool I tried to fix it either required an account, slapped a watermark on my export, or buried the feature I needed behind a paywall. Nothing just worked.

So I built the silence remover I wanted. No account, no watermark, upload your video and get back a clean version. That was VidClean.

Then I kept running into the same wall on other things: compressing a clip for Discord, pulling audio out of a Zoom recording, stabilizing handheld footage, fixing bad audio. So I built those too. There are 16 tools now, all on the same promise.

What VidClean stands for

Video and audio tools should be simple and free. Not free-with-an-asterisk. Not free-until-you-need-the-useful-part. Free. No account required, no watermark ever, files deleted from our servers 15 minutes after you download them. That's the whole promise.

About me

Melvin Bucio, founder of VidClean, in Mexico City

My name is Melvin Bucio. I'm based in Huntsville, Alabama, originally from Phoenix and raised partly in Jalisco, Mexico. I work in procurement and upload content every once in a while. I built VidClean because I needed it, not because I was already a developer building tools for a living. VidClean started in early 2026. I pay the hosting myself. The costs are small enough that I'd rather keep it free than chase revenue.
