What it does
Gumroad sells a digital product to an audience without asking the seller to run a storefront. You upload the file, set a price, and hand out one link, and it handles checkout, delivery, VAT and the licence key if there is one. Its economics are per sale rather than monthly, so it costs nothing to keep a dormant product listed, which is why creators use it for one-off things like presets, LUT packs and templates rather than for a subscription. It sits alongside a membership platform rather than replacing one.
